Speaking Engagements
I am gifted with a distinctive ability to motivate and transform people with my words; one of my spiritual gifts is exhortation. Having delivered more than 100 presentations in national and international settings, and for various types of organizations, I know how to engage people and sustain their attention—even in difficult conversations. I have given talks on topics including mental wellness, racial trauma, sexual health promotion, using research as an advocacy tool and partnering with communities to address health inequities. Presentations can be delivered as commencement or keynote addresses, workshops, webinars, guest lectures, small group discussions or other desired formats. Depending on the topic and intended audience, I also incorporate technology to captivate attendees and provide you with metrics for follow-up.
Potential topics for speaking engagements include (but are not limited to):
- Health inequities and their root causes (e.g., implicit bias, structural racism)

Note: For speaking engagements that require travel, associated expenses will be charged in addition to the speaker honorarium.
